OnePlus has initiated the rollout of the March 2025 security update for the OnePlus 13, but not without complications. Users have reported several issues related to battery life, touchscreen responsiveness, font size changes, and widget misalignment. The update initially began in India, but OnePlus might halt its distribution before it reaches other global markets to address the emerging problems.

The OxygenOS 15.0.0.703 update includes the March 2025 Android security patch and enhances privacy features, allowing users to reset their privacy password via their account if forgotten. Improvements have also been made to the text translation capabilities of Breeno Touch, along with several stability and performance fixes. However, various complications have surfaced following the update.

Reports from the OnePlus Community indicate a significant decline in battery performance, with users noting screen-on times dropping to just 4-6 hours, which is a stark contrast to the phone’s previous battery longevity frequently exceeding 10 hours. Additionally, some users are experiencing touchscreen issues, including delayed inputs and accidental double taps. There have been accounts of screen flickering when transitioning between apps, notably with WhatsApp.

Complaints have also been made about unexpected changes in font sizes and the misalignment of widgets. Given the extent of these reported issues, it remains uncertain whether OnePlus has officially paused the update. Nonetheless, they are likely to do so if the problems persist.

Any delay in advancing the rollout to other regions will depend on OnePlus’s efforts to resolve these concerns and ensure stability for users across all global versions of the device.
