Recent insights from a tipster named Majin Bu indicate that iOS 19 will finally support external displays for Apple’s USB-C iPhones. While users could connect their devices to external displays using adapters in the past, the new USB-C support will allow for a direct connection to compatible monitors.

But it gets even more intriguing. When an iPhone is connected to an external display over USB-C, iOS 19 is expected to offer a Samsung DeX-like experience, featuring a Stage Manager interface.

This enhancement could benefit users who need to edit documents, create presentations, or enjoy improved viewing options. The changes extend to the iPad as well, with Majin Bu suggesting the introduction of a more desktop-like interface, including a Mac-style Menu Bar and enhanced Stage Manager features.

Many iPad users have long sought better multitasking support, especially with the availability of Apple’s Magic Keyboard. Until now, the iPad’s software has largely resembled a larger version of iOS rather than transitioning to a more robust macOS-like experience.
