Google is supporting college students by offering them a free subscription to Gemini Advance, along with 2TB of cloud storage. This initiative aims to provide students with powerful AI tools that can assist them during their studies, especially with finals approaching, when stress levels tend to rise. While some students may misuse technology to cheat, many are looking for ways to enhance their learning experience.

In a move to facilitate this learning process, Google has launched a new promotion specifically for college students. The tech giant is making Gemini Advance available to them at no cost for a limited time. This service typically requires a monthly payment of $19.99, granting access to advanced features and more robust AI models.

With the free subscription, students will have access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model and Google’s VEO 2 video generation model. In addition, they will benefit from NotebookLM Plus, which provides enhanced features such as Audio Overviews and additional notebook storage. Google has also introduced a new tool called Deep Research to assist students in gathering information for their assignments.

Another innovative addition is Whisk, an experimental platform that allows users to generate images and videos. This generous offer will be available to U.S. students through the end of 2024, allowing them to take advantage of these resources during critical times in their academic journey. To benefit from this promotion, students need to sign up before June 30th, with free access granted all the way through finals in 2026.
