The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, as indicated by recent tests conducted in South Korea. The pricing for the device remains uncertain; it might be higher than its predecessor due to current tariff situations.

The official launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is anticipated in July or August. There have been various speculations regarding the chip options for the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Although the Exynos 2500 was considered, it appears that Samsung has opted for a different path by selecting the Snapdragon 8 Elite, specifically the overclocked ‘for Galaxy’ version. According to sources from PandaFlash X, internal tests, including network connectivity assessments, have successfully validated this chip for the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also utilize the same processor. One consideration is that using the Exynos 2500 could have offered a more cost-effective solution for Samsung.

However, production issues at the foundry may have influenced their decision to proceed with the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead. While initial reports indicated Samsung’s intention to maintain pricing similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, starting at $1,099 in the US, the introduction of new tariffs could alter that trajectory.

Consequently, the final pricing remains uncertain. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and other devices during the company’s upcoming Unpacked event, marking the second major launch this year following the Galaxy S25 series.

Further details, including the phone’s design, were previously covered in March.
