Samsung is currently lagging behind its intended schedule for the One UI 7 update. While new devices like the Galaxy S25, which released in January, are equipped with the latest version, other models have yet to receive the stable update. The company is still in the beta testing phase, and mid-range Samsung phone users in the US may miss out on the One UI 7 beta entirely. The One UI 7 beta program initially launched in 2024 across seven countries, including the US.
However, Samsung subsequently narrowed the number of eligible countries to four, with the US remaining part of that selection. Recently, the release of One UI 7 Beta 6 for the Galaxy S24 indicates that development is ongoing, but it appears that only flagship models benefit from this advancement. For mid-range Galaxy phones in the US, the situation is different as the only usable model for beta testing is the Galaxy A55, which has yet to be released in the country. At this point, it is unclear if any other mid-range models will be incorporated into the beta program.
Should there be no last-minute additions, owners of mid-range devices will need to be patient for the stable release of One UI 7. For US users who prefer not to wait, they can opt for the Galaxy A26 or Galaxy A36, which come pre-installed with the Android 15-based One UI 7. Otherwise, users will have to stay tuned for the stable rollout. Samsung has announced that this stable update is set to begin on April 7.
In the US, starting April 10, it will initially be available for last year’s flagship models before mid-range and entry-level devices receive the update in subsequent weeks. The rollout will focus first on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6, with the Galaxy S23 series and others to follow.
