Samsung recently launched the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56, expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup. While the Galaxy A26 and A36 models became available in the U.S. earlier this month, details regarding the Galaxy A56’s release were initially unclear. However, Samsung has now announced that the Galaxy A56 will debut in the U.S. later this year.

The Galaxy A56 is set to retail for $499, which places it $100 above the Galaxy A36 and $200 higher than the Galaxy A26. Samsung plans to release this device in four attractive colors: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Light Grey, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Pink. In the competitive mid-range market, the Galaxy A56 will go head-to-head with devices such as the iPhone 16e and Pixel 9a, both launching in the U.S. on April 10th.

While still forthcoming in the U.S., the Galaxy A56 is already available in several international markets, including India and Ireland. This mid-range smartphone is one of Samsung’s first to feature artificial intelligence capabilities. It includes innovative AI tools such as Google’s Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and various image filters.

Notably, it boasts a unique feature named Best Face, which allows users to select their best facial expressions across multiple frames and combine them into a single image. In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A56 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,900 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. The device is powered by the Exynos 1580 processor and offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

It runs on Android 15-based One UI 7 and is promised six major Android OS updates. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies, there’s a 12MP front-facing camera.

Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
